Job summary

Scout Motors in Novi, Michigan, is seeking a senior engineer to lead exterior systems and lighting development for an iconic electric pickup and rugged SUV platform. You will oversee design release, supplier collaboration, and cross-functional execution from concept through production, including packaging, CAD modeling, and verification testing.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in body electrical/mechanical engineering, CATIA proficiency, and a strong track record in EV programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Experience in automotive body electrical and mechanical areas is preferred.
• Strong CATIA design skills and understanding of lighting systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage design and release of lighting, glazing, wipe/wash systems, and exterior components from concept to production.
• Lead development of RFQ packages, technical reviews, and supplier selection.
• Build and mentor a high-performing cross-functional team to deliver on cost, timing, and quality.
