Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an Exterior Lighting Engineer to own the design and verification of lighting systems for future vehicles. You will lead the transition to Build-to-Print (BTP) and apply AI-driven processes to optimize optical performance, thermal management, and structural integrity.

• CAD capability with CATIA/3DX/Teamcenter and familiarity with CAE tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a robust lighting system for the vehicle.
• Create and present technical analyses for peer and management reviews.
• Review and sign-off CAD in Teamcenter and develop Lighting System documents (DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, boundary diagrams).
• Lead design reviews based on Failure Mode Avoidance and participate in sourcing activities.
