Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI is seeking an Exterior Lighting Engineer to lead cross-functional teams across mechanical, electrical, software and optics disciplines throughout a vehicle program.

You will drive requirements, design proposals, CAD models, and validation tests, coordinating with suppliers, studios, manufacturing and quality groups to deliver cost-effective lighting solutions.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field is required.
• 2+ years automotive and/or lighting experience (incl. co-op/internship).
• D&R Engineer manages CAD/BOM structures and supports CAD studies for design improvements.

Responsibilities

• Systems Engineering for Exterior Lighting.
• Generate and execute technical solutions for Exterior Lighting components.
• Develop early CAD proposals and full CAD models.
• Lead cross-functional teams including suppliers, design, engineering, manufacturing and quality.
• Travel as required (including international).
• - Coordinate production release of exterior lighting systems and features.
