Job summary

Lakeside Renovation & Design in Chesterfield, MO is seeking an Exterior Carpenter to join our Field Crew. You will help construct decks, screen rooms, porch overhangs, and install high-performance siding and exterior finishes.

This is a full-time, on-site position focused on quality craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork on residential projects in the St. Louis area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of carpentry or construction experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Able to lift heavy materials and climb ladders safely.
• Willingness to commute to various job sites in the St. Louis Metro Area.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Familiarity with siding materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow direction from Lead Carpenter on daily tasks.
• Construct outdoor structures: decks, screen rooms.
• Install decking, railing, and siding.
• Use hand and power tools safely.
• Read plans/blueprints when required.
• Maintain quality and safety standards.
• Communicate progress to Lead Carpenter.
• Keep jobsite clean and organized.
• Collaborate with team and maintain a positive culture.
• Perform additional carpentry tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow direction from Lead Carpenter on daily tasks and project priorities
• Construct outdoor living structures including screen rooms, porch overhangs, and decks
• Install composite decking, aluminum/composite rail systems, and various siding materials
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Interpret plans and blueprints when required (preferred)
• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
• Communicate progress and needs to the Lead Carpenter
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, respectful jobsite culture
• Additional carpentry or support tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of carpentry or construction experience (preferred)
• Valid driver's license
• Able to lift heavy materials and climb ladders safely
• Physically capable of performing manual labor in outdoor environments
• Willingness to commute to various job sites in the St. Louis Metro Area
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (or hold valid medical card)
• Familiarity with composite decking, Hardie, Boral, or vinyl siding (preferred)
• Team player with strong work ethic and eagerness to learn new skills

Schedule
