Burnsville-Eagan-Savage District 191 is seeking a Special Education ESY Teacher for a summer program. June 24 meeting and prep, July 6–23, Monday–Thursday, ECSE 9:30-12:30, Elementary/Secondary 7:30-12:30, with 8 hours for prep or due process.

The role requires Minnesota special education licensure and being highly qualified in a core academic area or eligible for certification. The district emphasizes equity and collaborative student supports.

Responsibilities

• The licensed Special Education teacher works closely with the district IST to support the development and implementation of the building's special education service delivery model.
• Actively encourage and embrace each member of the school community.
• Create a sense of support that fosters individual growth and pursuit of learning.
• Continually work to understand your own assumptions and biases and how they impact the learning environment.
• Make a commitment to value and manage cultural uniquenesses and adapt education to meet the needs of each student.
• Prepare students to meet the next challenge through fostering confidence from adventurous exploration and rigorous academics.
• Develop a culture of trust where students, families, and staff are reflected in decisions shaping the learning environment.
• Foster student agency to enable and encourage choices that personalize the learning journey.
• Build a day-to-day experience that leads students to their passion and purpose.

• Dates: July 6 – July 23
• Days: Monday – Thursday
• ECSE Hours: 9:30 - 12:30
• Elementary & Secondary Hours: 7:30 AM -12:30 PM
• Prep or Due Process Flex Time - 8 Hours
