Burnsville-Eagan-Savage District 191 is seeking a licensed Special Education Lead for William Byrne Elementary School. The role partners with the district IST to support service delivery models that meet varied student needs and commitments to equity.

The ideal candidate will advocate for students, collaborate with families and staff, and implement innovative, rigorous instructional approaches that empower learners and foster lifelong curiosity in our diverse community.

Qualifications

• Minnesota special education teaching license required.
• Developmental Disabilities licensure preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with district IST and school teams.

• The licensed Special Education Lead works closely with the district Individualized Student Services Team to support the development and implementation of the building/program's special education service delivery model.
• Actively encourage and embrace each member of the school community

• Continually work to understand your own assumptions and biases and how they impact the learning environment

• Develop a culture of trust where students, families, and staff are all reflected in decisions that shape the learning environment

License / Education Requirements:

• Minnesota special education teaching license(s). Developmental Disabilities licensure preferred.
• Highly qualified in a core academic area(s) or can be certified highly qualified.
