Job summary

BARRINGTON COMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT 220 seeks an Extended (Gifted) Resource Educator to deliver enriched instruction for identified gifted students in grades K-5. The role also supports general education teachers with differentiation and talent development within the classroom setting.

Collaborate with district staff to maintain program fidelity, monitor student progress, and engage families in program activities.

Qualifications

• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with elementary endorsement.
• Nine semester hours in gifted education coursework or equivalent.
• Experience with gifted students and general classroom experience.
• Advanced degree/credential in Gifted Education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide enriched/accelerated instruction to identified gifted students in K–5.
• Support differentiation, enrichment, and talent development within the classroom.
• Collaborate with building and district staff to ensure program fidelity and student growth.
• Communicate regularly with parents about program progress.
• Engage in data analysis and program development for extended services.
