Job summary

ARCHDIOCESE OF SEATTLE PAYROLL SERVICES is seeking a school support assistant to assist teachers, prepare and organize materials, and support students in small groups. You will participate in Catholic teachings and supervise extended care, promoting positive relationships and a safe learning environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred associate degree in education. Prior experience with children in school or childcare settings is valued.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in education preferred.
• Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers, prepare and organize materials, support individual and small groups.
• Participate in Catholic teachings.
• Recess duties and other duties as assigned.
• Lead and supervise indoor and outdoor extended care activities while promoting positive relationships and behavior among students.
• Foster a safe, engaging, and supportive environment.
• Supervise and interact with students in extended care and assist students with homework.
