Job summary

St. Anne School seeks a part-time After School Care Program Aide to supervise students in Pre-K through 4th grade (ages 4–10). Schedule Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri 3–5 pm and Wed 2–5 pm during the 180-day school year. Responsibilities include safe transitions, activity support, and homework help. A background check is required and First Aid/CPR is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience with children is desirable.

JOB OVERVIEW:St. Anne School is looking for part time After School Care Program Aides assisting with the supervision of children in Pre-K through 4th grade (ages 4 - 10). We have 1 - 3 openings. Hours on Mon/Tues/Thur/Fri from 3 to 5 pm; Wed from 2 to 5 pm from September through June (180 day school schedule - no school holidays).This role involves direct interaction with children, ensuring their safety and well-being during after school hours. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking for part-time work during the school year.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist with the arrival and dismissal of students, ensuring a secure transition between school and the after-care program.Support the Program Director in the planning, setup and cleanup of activities.Promote and maintain positive behavior by reinforcing program rules and expectations fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.Address minor behavioral issues according to the program’s guidelines, reporting any significant concerns to the Program DirectorRespond appropriately to emergencies or incidents, following established protocols and report any injuries or accidents to the Program Director.Provide homework support and general academic student supportQUALIFICATIONS:Education & Experience:High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous experience working with children is highly desirableSkills & Abilities:Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact positively and patiently with children, parents and staff.Creative, positive and enthusiastic energyOther Requirements:Must pass a background check and take a training class for working with children in the school setting.
