Job summary

The Archdiocese of St. Louis is seeking a Part-time Aide, Extended Care to provide a safe, welcoming, and structured environment for students in the extended care program.

You will supervise students before and after school, assist with homework, and promote a positive atmosphere where students feel valued and respected. Responsibilities

• Supervise students throughout the extended care program to ensure their safety, security, and well-being.
• Maintain a structured, positive, respectful, and nurturing environment that encourages appropriate student behavior.
• Follow established student check-in, attendance, and dismissal procedures.
• Monitor students during indoor and outdoor activities, transitions, meals, and other program activities.
• Maintain appropriate supervision and awareness of student needs at all times.
• Respond appropriately to student concerns and seek assistance when necessary.
• Assist students with homework and encourage positive study habits and academic responsibility.
• Plan, organize, and lead age-appropriate recreational, educational, creative, and enrichment activities.
• Encourage positive peer interactions and help students develop communication, problem-solving, cooperation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Foster an inclusive environment in which all students feel welcomed, respected, and supported.
• Encourage students to demonstrate kindness, responsibility, respect, and good citizenship.
