Job summary

St. Edward-Epiphany Catholic School in Chesterfield, VA is seeking a Part-Time Extended Care Aide to support students in our Extended Care Program.

This 10-month position works daily from 2:45pm to 6pm and plays an important role in providing a safe, nurturing environment after the school day. Applicants should have a high school diploma; experience with children is preferred and a positive, respectful approach to students, staff, and families is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during extended care hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Assist with and lead age-appropriate activities, including homework support, indoor and outdoor play, and enrichment opportunities.
• Assist in the front office with dismissal of extended care students
• Maintain a positive, structured environment.
• Encourage appropriate student behavior and report concerns to the Principal.
• Communicate professional and respectfully with students, staff, and parents.
• Follow all school and diocesan policies and procedures.
• Assist with setup, supervision, and cleanup of extended care spaces and materials.
