Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide active and attentive supervision of students during extended care hours.
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for all children.
  • Assist with student check-in and dismissal according to school procedures.
  • Organize and participate in age-appropriate activities, including games, arts and crafts, reading, outdoor play, and quiet activities.
  • Help students with homework, when appropriate.
  • Assist students with snacks, meals, and personal needs.
  • Encourage positive behavior, cooperation, kindness, and respect.
  • Follow established classroom and extended-care rules and behavior expectations.
  • Maintain appropriate student-to-staff supervision at all times.
  • Help keep activity areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Communicate concerns about student behavior, injuries, or other issues to the Extended Care Coordinator or appropriate school personnel.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding students and families.
  • Support and model the Catholic values and mission of the school.
  • Follow all school safety, emergency, child-protection, and supervision policies.
  • Assist with special events, school activities, and other duties as assigned.
