Job summary

Odyssey House is seeking an Expressive Arts Coordinator to develop and deliver agency-wide therapeutic art services. You will work closely with clients to enhance the recovery experience through creative arts.

The role requires knowledge of studio photography, lighting, and editing, with familiarity in Adobe Suite and MS Office. Two years of art studio management experience is preferred, and the position offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BA or MA in fine arts or related field is required.
• Master’s and/or state certification in substance abuse counseling preferred.
• Proficiency with Adobe Suite, MS Word, Excel, Outlook; Mac/PC platforms.
• Knowledge of studio photography, lighting and editing is desirable.
• Minimum 2 years art studio management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide education and awareness of mental health and recovery through art.
• Organize and supervise art department therapeutic arts services.
• Maintain Odyssey House art collection and Haven Art Gallery in East Harlem.
• Escort clients on museum trips and events to enhance cultural exposure.
• Develop relationships with community arts organizations and promote programs.
• Create digital/print media for art program services.
• Document studio activities through photos and write-ups.
• Support program celebrations and holiday activities.
• Promote visiting artist program and outreach efforts.
• Monitor inventory and maintain studio safety and practices.
