Job summary

Outcome HC is seeking a Creative Arts Therapist to plan and implement therapeutic activities under supervision, aiming to promote recovery and improve quality of life for patients in a psychiatric setting.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with related certification, plus 2 years of expressive therapies experience and familiarity with psychiatric populations. BLS certification and orientation completion are mandatory, with benefits including PTO, 401k, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Creative Arts Therapy and certification in related field.
• 2 years experience in human services with expressive therapies.
• 2 years experience working with Psychiatric population.
• Current BLS certification and orientation programs completed.

Responsibilities

• Determines patients' interests, attitudes, needs, and abilities through interview and observation.
• Creates an atmosphere for socialization and communication.
• Plans therapeutic programs considering emotional and physical needs of patients.
• Guides patients in using various therapeutic activities and alternatives.
• Organizes and conducts therapeutic activities across topics (stress management, art, relaxation, music, social skills, etc.).
• Prepares records describing patient progress for the treatment team.
