Job summary

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a life sciences field with 10+ years of industry experience, or MS/BS with substantial experience.
• Hands-on recombinant protein expression across bacterial, insect, mammalian, or cell-free systems.
• Experience leading HT expression screening programs and automation platforms (liquid handling).
• Direct supervision and career development experience for scientific staff.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Protein Chemistry, Biophysics, and Structural Biology teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of scientists for high-throughput expression screening.
• Define and execute the strategic HT expression screening platform vision and roadmap.
• Design and implement screening strategies for expression of soluble and membrane targets.
• Automate workflows with liquid-handling robotics and LIMS to boost throughput and data quality.
• Collaborate with discovery teams to translate program needs into screening plans and timelines.
• Evaluate new technologies (AI/ML, novel hosts, cell-free systems) to improve throughput.
• Oversee data analysis and reporting of screening results to teams and management.
• Manage vendor/CRO relationships, including tech transfer and quality oversight.
• Ensure EHS/ELN and regulatory standards are met; represent platform in cross-functional forums.
• Align team goals with Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day work.
