Job summary

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology, structural biology, chemical engineering, or related field with 10+ years of industry experience.
• Hands-on recombinant protein expression across multiple systems (E. coli, insect, mammalian, or cell-free).
• Proven HT expression screening experience with automation and robotics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor scientists responsible for high-throughput expression screening across systems.
• Define strategic vision for the HT expression screening platform and roadmap.
• Design strategies to identify optimal expression conditions for challenging targets.
• Drive automation of workflows using robotics and ELN/LIMS for higher throughput.
• Partner with discovery teams to translate needs into screening plans and timelines.
• Evaluate new technologies including AI/ML-guided protein screening.
• Oversee data analysis and communicate recommendations to project teams.
• Manage vendor and CRO relationships for external screening with quality oversight.
• Ensure EHS/ELN compliance and regulatory documentation.
• Represent the platform in cross-functional forums and contribute to budgeting.
