Job summary

Gresham Toyota, part of Swickard Auto Group, is seeking an entry-level Lube Tech for its express lane in Gresham, OR. You will support flat-rate technicians, perform oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and basic maintenance, while completing thorough inspections and reporting safety concerns.

You’ll work in a two-technician-per-bay environment, adhere to Toyota procedures, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. Training and mentorship are available to build a long-term technician career.

Qualifications

• Express service or automotive maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Basic automotive mechanical knowledge and familiarity with common hand tools.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Detail-oriented with proper torque procedures and accurate fluid levels.
• Team-first attitude.
• Willingness to complete Toyota manufacturer training.

Responsibilities

• Work in a two-technician-per-bay express environment, supporting flat-rate technicians.
• Perform oil and filter changes, tire rotations, fluid checks and top-offs, tire pressure adjustments, and basic scheduled maintenance services.
• Complete thorough multi-point inspections, identify maintenance needs and safety concerns, and communicate findings to service advisors.
• Follow Toyota maintenance procedures, dealership processes and safety standards on every vehicle.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
• Communicate effectively with technicians, service advisors, and shop leadership to keep the lane moving.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Work in a two-technician-per-bay express environment -- supporting flat-rate technicians to maintain efficient vehicle throughput and consistent service quality
• Perform oil and filter changes, tire rotations, fluid checks and top-offs, tire pressure adjustments, and basic scheduled maintenance services
• Complete thorough multi-point inspections -- identifying maintenance needs and potential safety concerns and communicating findings accurately to service advisors
• Follow Toyota maintenance procedures, dealership processes, and safety standards on every vehicle
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift
• Communicate effectively with fellow technicians, service advisors, and shop leadership to keep the lane moving

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Prior express service or automotive maintenance experience preferred -- candidates with mechanical aptitude, dependability, and a genuine interest in building a technician career are encouraged to apply
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record -- required
• Basic automotive mechanical knowledge and familiarity with common hand tools
• Reliable and punctual -- the two-technician-per-bay model depends on consistent staffing and dependable attendance
• Detail-oriented -- proper torque procedures, accurate fluid levels, and complete inspection documentation are non-negotiable
• Team-first attitude -- you work alongside experienced flat-rate technicians and the shop runs better when everyone pulls in the same direction
• Willingness to complete Toyota manufacturer training and follow dealership safety policies
