Swickard Auto Group's Lexus of Fremont is seeking an Express Service Technician to join a busy, luxury-brand service team. You’ll perform oil changes, tire rotations, and routine maintenance in a fast-paced, flat-rate environment.

This starter role offers hands-on training, certification support, and a clear path to grow into line tech or diagnostic positions within a renowned dealer group. A strong work ethic and customer-focused attitude are valued.

Qualifications

• 1+ year express, lube, or automotive maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of vehicle systems and routine maintenance procedures.
• Fast and accurate work while maintaining quality even during high volume.
• Professional and composed demeanor to meet premium guest expectations.
• Physically able to stand, bend, and work on feet throughout the shift.
• Clean driving record with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, tire rotations, fluid top-offs, filter replacements, and multi-point inspections.
• Document all work performed and parts used accurately.
• Communicate findings clearly to service advisors for timely guest updates.
• Follow Lexus-recommended maintenance procedures and service intervals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation reflecting Lexus standards.
• Work on a flat-rate structure; speed and accuracy impact earnings.
• Contribute to a shop culture focused on consistency, accuracy, and professionalism.

WHAT YOU\'LL DO

• Perform oil changes, tire rotations, fluid top-offs, filter replacements, and multi-point inspections accurately and efficiently
• Complete repair orders accurately -- documenting all work performed and parts used with precision
• Communicate findings clearly to service advisors so guests receive accurate recommendations and timely updates
• Follow Lexus-recommended maintenance procedures and service intervals
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation that reflects the standard of the Lexus brand
• Work efficiently on a flat-rate structure -- your speed and quality directly determine your earnings
• Contribute to a shop culture where consistency, accuracy, and professionalism are the baseline

WHAT WE\'RE LOOKING FOR

• 1+ year of express, lube, or automotive maintenance experience preferred -- motivated candidates without formal experience are encouraged to apply
• Basic understanding of vehicle systems and routine maintenance procedures
• Fast and accurate -- able to maintain quality even when production volume matters
• Professional and composed -- Lexus guests expect a premium experience and the technicians behind their service reflect that standard
• Physically capable of standing, bending, and working on your feet throughout the shift
• Valid driver\'s license with a clean driving record
