Job summary

Lexus Of Nashville is seeking a Full-Time Express Automotive Service Technician to join our service team in Nashville, TN. You’ll collaborate with colleagues to deliver fast, expert automotive care and perform routine maintenance, inspections, and document findings for customer approval.

The role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with pre-employment checks and a commitment to safety. Lexus training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must wear personal protective equipment and safety gear.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, and hold a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the service team to deliver fast, expert care.
• Perform minor services such as checking and changing lube, oil, and filters following procedures.
• Identify and report issues to the Service Advisor or Service Director/Manager promptly.
• Perform multi-point inspections on every vehicle (Customer Pay, Warranty, Extended Warranty).
• Document MPI recommendations clearly and prepare accurate estimates for additional work.
• Assist other technicians with light mechanical tasks as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the service process.
• Maintain communication with Service Manager and technicians to meet Lexus time standards.
• Keep back shop clean and ensure equipment is calibrated to Lexus standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the service department’s success.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Actively collaborate with the service team to ensure every vehicle receives fast, expert care
• Perform minor services such as checking and changing lube, oil, and filters, strictly following dealership and manufacturer procedures
• Identify and report any issues to the Service Advisor or Service Director/Manager promptly
• Conduct multi-point inspections on every vehicle (Customer Pay, Warranty, Extended Warranty)
• Find all legitimate repair and service needs and document recommendations clearly in the Multi-Point Inspection (MPI)
• Prepare accurate estimates for additional work and communicate findings to the Service Advisor for customer approval
• Assist other technicians with light mechanical tasks as needed
• Dedicate your time to providing excellent customer service throughout the service process
• Maintain communication with the Service Manager, Consultants, and fellow technicians to meet Lexus time standards and exceed guest expectations
• Keep the back shop clean and ensure all equipment is calibrated to Lexus standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the service department's success
