Job summary

Dutch Miller of Ashland is seeking a skilled Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and routine maintenance in accordance with dealer and factory standards. The role requires diagnosing problems, communicating with the parts department, and testing driveability, with responsibilities that support customer safety and satisfaction.

You will participate in manufacturer-sponsored training, stay current with bulletins, and work on a variety of vehicles at our Ashland, KY service center.

Qualifications

• Diagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection.
• Perform repair and maintenance work in line with dealer and factory standards.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Examine and test drive vehicles to ensure driveability and safety.

Responsibilities

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection.
• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Road tests vehicles.
• Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools and events.
• Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
• Inspects and test drives newly delivered vehicles for obvious damage and driveability.
