Job Summary

We are seeking a Expo/Food Runner to join the team at our busy restaurant! As a Expo/Food Runner, you are the link between the kitchen and the wait staff. You will organize orders as they come from the kitchen, deliver food, prebus and give excellent secondary service to our guests. You are the liaison between the front of house and back of the house and keep communication between the two. This position shares togo tips with the host. This is on top of hourly salary. If you’re friendly, hard-working, and interested in getting your foot in the door in the hospitality industry, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Organize and prepare orders to be ran.
• Pack togo orders to spec and take togo orders on phone as needed
• Serve customers their meals and drinks in an efficient manner
• Communicate food orders to the kitchen staff
• Refill drinks or get needed items for guests when they request it
• Wipe down tables, chairs, and other surfaces
• Remove items and reset tables
• Remove dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware from tables
• Adhere to all health and safety rules and regulations

Qualifications

• Experience as an expo, busser, barback, food runner, or similar position is preferred
• Familiarity with food safety guidelines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds
• Go get attitude with self managing abilities
• Can complete a shift without phone usage
• Friendly and outgoing personality
• Availability to work evening and weekend shifts
