Job summary

Wet Willie's is seeking a food runner/expo to be the liaison between the front of house and kitchen, ensuring food is prepared correctly and carried out to Guests promptly.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, organized workspace, restocking supplies, and delivering dishes with proper garnishes. Must be 18+ and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays; reading menus is required.

Qualifications

• Stands and walks during 6-8 hour shift; may carry trays (10-30 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between FOH and kitchen to ensure correct orders.
• Ensures all orders are correct and delivered promptly to guests.
• Keeps areas clean and organized; restocks supplies as needed.
• Prebusses and garnishes food, loads trays for delivery.
• Discusses issues with supervisor and performs shift changes and closing duties.

Job description

The primary objective of the expo/food runner is to be the liaison between the FOH staff and kitchen, and to ensure that food is made correctly and carried out to the Guests promptly.

Essential Functions

• Maintains friendly, courteous temperament and a neat, clean professional image.
• Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees and purveyors to establish a cooperative environment.
• Has complete menu knowledge. Know and consistently perform all procedures for food plating and delivery.
• Keeps all working areas clean and organized.
• Restocks necessary supplies and brings all areas up to standard.
• Ensures all orders are correct.
• Garnishes food.
• Loads trays.
• Prebusses when delivering food and beverages.
• Discusses problem areas with manager.
• Performs open, shift change and/or closing duties.
• Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems.

Requirements

Servers are required to take care of guests are taken care of with 100% compliance to state and federal law as well as company standards.

Qualification Standards

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to work flexible shifts including, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment

• Must be able to pass all quizzes, tests and complete all workbook assignments.
