The primary objective of the expo/food runner is to be the liaison between the FOH staff and kitchen, and to ensure that food is made correctly and carried out to the Guests promptly.
Essential Functions
- Maintains friendly, courteous temperament and a neat, clean professional image.
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees and purveyors to establish a cooperative environment.
- Has complete menu knowledge. Know and consistently perform all procedures for food plating and delivery.
- Keeps all working areas clean and organized.
- Restocks necessary supplies and brings all areas up to standard.
- Ensures all orders are correct.
- Garnishes food.
- Loads trays.
- Prebusses when delivering food and beverages.
- Discusses problem areas with manager.
- Performs open, shift change and/or closing duties.
- Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems.
Requirements
Servers are required to take care of guests are taken care of with 100% compliance to state and federal law as well as company standards.
Qualification Standards
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work flexible shifts including, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment
- Must have a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor
- Must be able to pass all quizzes, tests and complete all workbook assignments.
- Must be neatly dressed and well groomed in clean, company approved attire.
- Must be able to read menus.
- Stands and walks during 6-8 hour shift; Reaches, bends, stoops and wipes.
- May be required to carry trays or supplies (10-30 lbs.)
