Job summary

Surfside Kitchen in Saint Augustine, FL is seeking a dedicated Food Runner / Busser / Expo to join our energetic team in a fast-paced dining environment. This seasonal position offers the chance to become full-time and includes an employee discount and daily tip out.

You will deliver meals promptly, coordinate with front-of-house and kitchen staff, maintain a clean dining area, and support guests with outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Restaurant or hotel experience is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
• Strong communication with guests and team members.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of food handling practices is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverages from kitchen to dining area with accuracy and presentation.

• Maintain cleanliness and reset tables for new guests.

Job description

We, at Surfside Kitchen, are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner / Busser / Expo to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This is a seasonal job with the potential to become full time and besides the hourly pay, you get employee discount on food, and daily tip out.

This role plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and with exceptional service and also helping cleaning the tables to ensure a nice and clean establishment for our customers.

This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate timely service and fulfill guest requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests.
• Assist in food preparation as needed, adhering to food handling safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Support the restaurant team during busy periods by helping with various tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with POS systems, such as Skytab POS, is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and basic food preparation techniques is beneficial.
• A commitment to providing excellent customer service and enhancing the dining experience for all guests.
