Job summary

Mission Taco Joint is seeking an Expeditor to ensure smooth coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations. You will set the pace and flow of the kitchen to guarantee timely and correctly prepared dishes while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.

Key responsibilities include monitoring order flow from kitchen to service staff, maintaining cleanliness and organization in prep and service areas, and supporting all team members to deliver exceptional guest

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Clean and hygienic appearance.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of MTJ standards, procedures, products and services.
• Ensure the efficient flow of orders from the kitchen to the service staff.
• Monitor portions on completed dishes according to restaurant standards.
• Ensure all orders are completed in time and with the correct priority.
• Inspect cleanliness, presentation, and temperature of completed dishes.
• Perform finishing touches to dishes, such as garnishes and removing smudges.
• Keep cooking, storage, and prep areas clean, neat, and well-stocked.
• Ensure all staff adheres to health and safety standards.
• Assist all staff as needed.

The Expeditor is an experienced restaurant professional whose primary function is to ensure a smooth flow between the front of the house and the back of the house using excellent communication skills. They set the pace and flow of the kitchen to ensure that all dishes are properly prepared and efficiently dispersed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of MTJ and its standards, procedures, products, and services
• Ensure the efficient flow of orders from the kitchen to the service staff
• Monitoring the food portions on completed dishes according to restaurant standards.
• Ensuring that all orders are completed in time and with the correct priority.
• Inspecting the cleanliness, presentation, and temperature of completed dishes.
• Performing the finishing touches to completed dishes, such as adding garnishes and removing smudges.
• Keeping the cooking, storage, and prep areas clean, neat, and well-stocked.
• Ensuring all staff adheres to health and safety standards.
• Assisting all staff as needed.
