Day & Zimmermann in Parsons, Kansas is seeking a full-time Explosives Operator. You will operate melts and related equipment, monitor the Explosive Melt System, ensure explosives are ready for pours, and follow SOPs while maintaining safety and accuracy in a facility that supports national defense programs.

The position pays $23.58 per hour and requires at least 6 months of production equipment experience, with forklift license preferred. Competitive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months experience in operating and monitoring production equipment.
• Forklift license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates computer intercont, a loss-in-weight feeder and thermocouple thermometer for melts.
• Activates and monitors Explosive Melt System; ensures explosives ready for pours at start and end of day.
• Complies with operation-approved standard operating procedures.
• Coordinates pre and post system checks and cleans up as required on all floors.
