Job summary

Austin Powder is seeking a Booster Operator to safely execute manufacturing processes in the Booster Department, handling explosive materials and operating specialty equipment. The role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-risk environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, a valid driver's license, and at least 1 year in manufacturing or explosive/chemical handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing or explosive/chemical handling preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with basic understanding of equipment operation and maintenance.
• Must meet all state and federal explosive laws and qualify as an ATF explosive processor.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Follow all written work instructions and SOPs related to packaging and handling of explosive products.
• Inspect manufactured products for accuracy and quality.
• Identify and report hazards within the production area.
• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with supervisors and area leads to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Operate and maintain manufacturing vehicles as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including PPE usage.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the area lead, supervisor, or department manager.
• Other duties as assigned.
