Job summary

DCH Health System seeks an Ultrasound Technician/ Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to deliver imaging services across neonatal to geriatric patients in a safe, compliant ultrasound environment. The role emphasizes accurate exams, patient communication, and adherence to JCAHO standards with emphasis on ARDMS RDMS/RVT eligibility.

Candidates should be registry eligible, maintain QC procedures, supervise students as needed, and participate in equipment maintenance and department workflows to support

Qualifications

• Must be registry eligible by the ARDMS and obtain RDMS/RVT within 24 months.
• New hires must be RDMS and RVT within 12 months of hire date.
• RDMS certification current ultrasound registration by the ARDMS; RVT (RVS) certification within 24 months.
• English reading/writing/speaking required.

Responsibilities

• Provides imaging services to patients of all ages with thorough explanations and communication.
• Maintains safety standards and follows protocols; observes JCAHO standards.
• Performs ultrasound QC and documents results; maintains equipment and supplies.
• Mentors students and new staff; coordinates with radiologists and other departments.
