Job summary

Cornerstone Defense is hiring an Expert System Administrator to support IT system implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance across client/server/storage networks in Annapolis Junction, MD.

You will configure UNIX and Windows systems, manage operations, and provide Tier 1/2 support, with emphasis on security tools like ELK, Tripwire, VMware, and SELinux.

The role requires a BS in CS or related field and extensive SA experience; active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph preferred to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline required.
• 15 years' SA experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity required.
• 5 years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Experience with system security tools and security configurations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems.
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components.

• Five (5) years of additional SA experience on projects may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
• Fifteen (15) years' experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Responsibilities:

• Five (5) years of experience installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and using system security (container security, virtual machine security, security boundary enforcement), configuration, and reporting tools.
• Five (5) years of experience with the following tools is strongly preferred: ELK, Tripwire, VMware, RedHat SELinux security tool suite.
