Job summary

Cornerstone Defense LLC is seeking a System Administrator in Annapolis Junction, MD, offering a compensation range of $105,000 to $125,000 and requiring Active TS/SCI with Polygraph to apply. The role focuses on supporting IT systems, monitoring, and incident resolution across client/server/storage/network devices.

The candidate will manage UNIX and Windows environments, implement security tooling, and ensure reliable, high-performance IT operations for defense programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.
• Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Five (5) years’ experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manages IT system infrastructure and related processes.
• Provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, including escalation and status communication to management.
• Configures UNIX and Windows OS and installs loads, troubleshoots, maintains integrity, and configures network components.

Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the client / server / storage / network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs / loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional SAexperiencemay be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Five (5) years’ experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Required Skills:

• Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and using system security (container security, virtual machine security, security boundary enforcement), configuration, and reporting tools.
• Experience with Windows/UNIX administration
• Experience with the following tools is strongly preferred: ELK, Tripwire, VMware, RedHat SELinux security tool suite.
