Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Field Service Technician in Houston to perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems at customer sites and in our service centers. You will diagnose issues, implement preventative maintenance, and ensure safe, efficient operations while traveling up to 20% to support clients.

The role requires 3–7 years of technical experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to work independently with strong customer-service skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience with customer service.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Capable of obtaining CDL (Class A or B) with endorsements - preferred, not required.

The Expert Service Center Technician is responsible for performing service activities at service center locations in a safe and efficient manner. This role includes working with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, assisting with shop and yard work, and ensuring a safe work environment. The position may occasionally interface with customers.

The estimated salary range for this position is $35-37 an hour. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package.
