Job summary

Xylem in Florida is seeking a mechanically inclined Field Service Technician who will perform on-site service and maintenance for water treatment equipment. You should have hands-on experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems and be able to work with minimal supervision.

The role requires 3 to 7 years of technical work, a valid DOT medical card, clean driving record, and strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain DOT Medical card; clean driving record.
• Water treatment experience highly preferred.
• 3 to 7 years of technical work experience.
• Plumbing/HVAC experience a PLUS.

Education & Experience Requirements

Experience Requirements

• Ability to obtain DOT Medical card
• Clean driving record
• Work experience preferred
• Able to pass background check & pre-employment drug screen
• Water treatment experience highly preferred
• Plumbing/HVAC experience A PLUS
• 3 to 7 years of technical work experience

Skill Requirements

• Electrical, mechanical, diesel, fusion experience depending on business unit
• Work without direct supervision and provides coaching/training to junior-level technicians
• Technically sound
• Experience with Microsoft Office including smart devices
• Must have customer service experience
• Demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability
• Synthesizes technical information and communicates it clearly
• Derives insight from customer experience to produce outcomes and solve problems often in novel and unexpected ways

The estimated salary range for this position is $28 to $32/hourly.Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location.
