Job summary

Rihm Family Companies in Minnesota is seeking an Expert Paint Technician to efficiently diagnose and repair vehicles and components. You will perform refinishing, wet sanding, polishing, vinyl graphics installation, and color tinting with strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

The role requires experience in heavy/medium truck repair, knowledge of suspension and mechanical operations, body and fiberglass repair skills, and the ability to obtain a DOT drug screen and physical.

Qualifications

  • Experience in heavy and medium truck repair with strong mechanical and analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of suspension and mechanical operations.
  • Experience with body repair, paint, fiberglass repair, and paint mixing.
  • Must pass a DOT drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

  • Refinish major & minor components without supervision.
  • Wet sand, buff & polish painted finishes.
  • Install vinyl graphics including door graphics and layout custom stripes.
  • Color adjust/tint paint and refinish day cabs or sleepers (single stage, base/clear).
  • Maintain safe use of paint safety equipment and spray gear.
  • Refinish aluminum fuel tanks and chassis; blend finish panels and chassis.
  • Mask vehicles and properly set up spray equipment; maintain spray booth and prep deck.
  • Keep shop clean and safe; manage tools and materials and comply with regulations.
