Qualifications

• 1–3 years related work experience in coding or coding credential.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding systems.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis and CPT-4 procedure codes from medical records.
• Abstract coded data into BIDMC coding system with patient details.
• Sequence codes according to ICD-10-CM guidelines and ensure timely submission.
