Job summary

Evlo AI in New York is seeking a mobile engineer responsible for end-to-end development, performance, and reliability of native iOS and Android apps used by hundreds of thousands of daily active users.

You will write high-quality code in Swift/Objective-C or Kotlin/Java, design modular UI components, integrate APIs, optimize performance, and collaborate with product, UX, and backend teams to deliver features on schedule. Experience with offline-first apps and MVVM/Clean Architecture is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional mobile development experience with native iOS or Android
• Strong Swift/SwiftUI or Kotlin/Jetpack Compose skills
• Experience shipping production apps on Apple App Store or Google Play
• Knowledge of memory management, concurrency, and network security on mobile
• Degree in CS or related field

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain high-performance native mobile applications using Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, or Java
• Design modular, reusable UI components adhering to Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design standards
• Integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and real-time WebSockets with local caching layers for optimal offline functionality
• Profile and optimize application performance, focusing on memory footprint, CPU utilization, battery efficiency, and frame rate consistency
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and UI tests using XCTest, Espresso, or Appium to maintain rigorous code quality
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to define technical specs and deliver features on schedule
