The role owns the end-to-end development, performance, and scaling of native mobile applications reaching millions of active users daily.
The engineer will collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and backend teams to build performant, accessible, and resilient user interfaces on iOS and Android.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build advanced native applications for the iOS and Android platforms using Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, and Java
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features within rapid two-week agile sprint cycles
- Identify and fix application bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues using instruments, profiling tools, and crash reporting services
- Maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines (CI/CD) using Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions for automated testing and app store distribution
- Write unit and UI tests to ensure robustness, usability, and reliability across a wide fragmentation of mobile devices
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and user experience
What We Are Looking For
- 3–6 years of professional software development experience with at least 3 years focused on native iOS or Android engineering
- Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, or Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, with published apps available on the App Store or Google Play
- Deep understanding of mobile architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture, and reactive programming frameworks like Combine or Coroutines/Flow
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, offline caching mechanisms, and third-party SDKs
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: Experience with cross-platform frameworks like React Native or Flutter, background in mobile security protocols, or contributions to open-source mobile libraries
