Ladders is seeking an Expert Database Architect to join our client team as the highest-level technical authority for database architecture across accounts. You will shape enterprise database strategy, guide modernization and cloud transformation, and partner with executives, Solution Architects, and engineering teams to drive resilient, secure, and scalable data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/IS or related field.
• 10+ years in database architecture, engineering, administration, or enterprise data leadership.
• 7+ years leading enterprise-scale database modernization and transformation initiatives.
• Expert-level knowledge of cloud database services and experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or NoSQL.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Expert Database Architect to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will serve as the highest-level technical authority for database architecture across assigned client accounts, shaping strategy for enterprise database environments.

You will lead modernization, migration, and cloud transformation initiatives while establishing standards that support resilient, secure, scalable, and automated data platforms.

The position partners closely with executive leadership, Solution Architects, and engineering teams to guide investment decisions and deliver mission-critical database outcomes.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $155,000 – $210,000 annually

• 7+ years leading enterprise-scale database modernization and transformation initiatives
• Expert-level knowledge of cloud database services and experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or NoSQL platforms
• Extensive experience designing highly available, mission-critical database environments
• Deep expertise in database architecture, performance optimization, scalability, security, governance, compliance, automation, and disaster recovery
• Proven ability to lead complex initiatives involving multiple teams and stakeholders
