Ladders is seeking a Lead Database Administrator to guide the design, reliability, and evolution of enterprise databases supporting mission-critical operations. This remote US-based role partners with infrastructure, applications, and operations teams to improve performance, availability, and recovery capabilities.

You will set database standards, automation, and governance while serving as a senior technical escalation point across on-premises and cloud platforms.

Qualifikationen

• Degree or equivalent with typically 10+ years of experience in database administration or engineering.
• 5+ years in a senior/lead/architect role in production database environments.
• 5+ years designing and optimizing databases in public cloud environments, especially Microsoft Azure.
• Expert-level PostgreSQL administration skills with high availability and tuning.
• Strong SQL Server (2014+) and Azure SQL experience in enterprise settings.
• Proven success supporting mission-critical systems with strict availability and recovery requirements.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional database initiatives from start to finish.

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Database Administrator to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.

This role will guide the design, reliability, and ongoing evolution of enterprise database environments that support mission-critical operations in a highly regulated industry. You will lead modernization efforts across on-premises and cloud platforms, partnering with infrastructure, application, and operations teams to improve performance, availability, and recovery capabilities. The position also serves as a senior technical escalation point, helping shape database standards, automation, and governance across the organization.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $133,900 – $223,100 annually
