Job summary

Norte Restaurant by IAM Hospitality in New York seeks a passionate Bartender to craft beverages for bar and restaurant guests, engaging customers and guiding them through our beverage program. You will maintain bar stock, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and contribute to a memorable dining experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of bartending experience.
• Prior high-volume and fine dining experience a plus.
• Expertise in spirits, wine, beer, cocktails, and mixology.
• ATAP/TIPS Certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Toast POS system.
• Strong understanding of restaurant etiquette and sequence of service.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including allergy protocols.
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages for bar and restaurant guests with precision and enthusiasm.
• Engage with guests, provide outstanding service, and utilize beverage offerings to drive engagement and loyalty.
• Assess guest preferences and make tailored recommendations.
• Maintain knowledge of food and beverage menus, including allergens and modifications.
• Restock and maintain bar inventory and supplies.
• Ensure all orders are placed promptly and accurately into the POS system.
• Verify guest identification to ensure legal alcohol consumption.
• Comply with local and state food safety and alcohol service regulations.
• Monitor alcohol consumption and follow responsible service procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar for efficient service.
• Process all guest payments accurately.
• Accurately record tips in accordance with restaurant policies and legal requirements.
• Comply with regulations regarding alcohol sale and service.
