Job summary

FAO Schwarz in New York seeks a Sales & Experience Lead to energize the floor, coach a team of associates, and deliver unforgettable guest moments. You will ensure warm, theatrical, on-brand interactions and lead events that bring the magic of FAO Schwarz to life.

You will own daily operations, open/close routines, and readiness standards, while partnering with store leadership to drive performance and brand magic across the flagship floor and NY boutiques.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience in retail, hospitality, theatre, performance, or experiential environments.
• Ability to coach and develop a diverse team.
• Strong presence on the floor with real-time decision making.
• Balance theatrical guest engagement with operational discipline.

Responsibilities

• Set and protect the guest experience standard across every touchpoint on the floor.
• Be an active, visible presence on the floor with regular observations and feedback.
• Manage guest flow and adjust floor coverage to keep things moving smoothly.
• Lead floor-level execution of events, activations, and refreshes.
• Escalate guest feedback constructively to store leadership.
• Coach and develop associates, onboarding new team members quickly.
• Own daily zone chart, opening/closing routines, and readiness standards.
• Oversee daily cash-handling operations and maintain compliance.
• Partner with Visual, Operations, and Store Leadership to stay on-brand.
• Read the room, convert curiosity into purchases, and share performance context.
