Job summary

The Auburn University Harrison College of Pharmacy seeks a Professor of Experiential Practice to support IPPE, APPE, and IPE within a student-centered learning environment. This 9-month, 0.8 FTE, non-tenurable appointment collaborates with HCOP faculty to deliver high-quality experiential education, including direct patient care and student precepting.

Based on the Auburn campus with distance teaching to Mobile, AL, the role emphasizes collaboration with clinical affairs and outreach,

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States at the time of appointment.
• Licensed in Alabama at the time of employment.
• ACPE-accredited degree in pharmacy.
• Experience with IPPE/APPE/IPE programs is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Precept Pharm.D. students in IPPE/APPE/IPE experiences including ambulatory care, simulation activities, and direct patient care.
• Facilitate student learning through direct patient care and interprofessional team activities.
• Provide formative and summative feedback, evaluate student performance and support clinical reasoning and professionalism.
• Serve as a role model and mentor for student pharmacists across professional years.
• Collaborate with faculty and healthcare professionals across disciplines to design and facilitate IPE activities.
