Job summary

Follett Higher Education is hiring an ELP Team Member in Philadelphia, PA. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service at the campus bookstore, greeting customers, assisting with store inquiries, and processing purchases using the POS system.

Team members are expected to maintain stocked sales floors, follow safety procedures, and participate in training new staff. Availability must meet business needs and travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Travel: minimal.
• Able to stand, walk, and smile for extended periods.
• Able to stoop and kneel.
• Push, pull, lift, or carry up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and render assistance as necessary, responding to inquiries pertaining to products and merchandise.
• Operates POS system: accepting payments, giving change, bagging purchases, and processing employee or faculty discounts as appropriate.
• May perform data entry/order placement for books and/or merchandise as directed by manager.
• Carry and shelve merchandise inventory; may also pull and package merchandise for return to vendors.
• Follows all safety and loss prevention processes as outlined by company policy or procedure.
