Market Value Southwest is seeking an Event Manager to oversee planning, organization, and execution of company events and programs. This role requires coordinating timelines, staffing, venues, vendors, and materials to deliver polished experiences for attendees.

You will work with internal teams and external partners to ensure events run smoothly, stay on schedule, and meet client goals, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Event Management or related field.
  • 1–2 years in events/hospitality or related environment preferred.
  • Relevant internship or hands-on event experience may be considered.
  • Strong organizational and event-planning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple schedules and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Comfortable coordinating with vendors and venues.
  • Ability to stay organized in active event environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Adapt quickly to schedule changes.
  • Professional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Coordinate event staff and project teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Availability for events including evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Manage events from planning to completion.
  • Develop timelines, schedules, checklists, and plans.
  • Coordinate venues, vendors, and external partners.
  • Confirm requirements, schedules, deliveries, and logistics.
  • Determine materials and equipment needed.
  • Coordinate ordering and transportation of materials.
  • Maintain calendars and deadlines.
  • Coordinate staffing schedules and assignments.
  • Provide teams with schedules and logistics.
  • Oversee setup and ensure spaces match plans.
  • Monitor events and address operational needs.
  • Coordinate attendee flow and on-site operations.
  • Serve as main contact for venues and staff.
  • Respond to changes and issues.
  • Keep materials and presentation areas organized.
  • Monitor inventory and replenish materials.
  • Track purchases and invoices.
  • Maintain event records.
  • Conduct post-event reviews.
  • Prepare event summaries and recommendations.
