Qualifications

• 3+ years of Emergency Veterinary Technician experience
• Proficiency in emergency and critical care nursing, triage, IV catheter placement, and fluid therapy
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and efficient in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while managing multiple urgent cases
• Excellent communication and client service skills, with compassionate support to pet owners

Responsibilities

• Provide rapid assessment and triage of emergency patients to determine severity and prioritize treatment
• Perform advanced nursing care, including placing IV catheters, administering medications and fluids, monitoring hospitalized patients, and providing critical care support
• Assist veterinarians during emergency procedures, diagnostics, surgery, and resuscitation efforts, including CPR and life-saving interventions
• Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs, documenting changes and communicating concerns to the team
• Educate and support pet owners by explaining treatment plans, discharge instructions, home care, and updates during emergencies
