Job summary

Pet Urgent Care of Wesley Chapel is seeking an experienced receptionist to join our veterinary team. You will greet clients, triage patient concerns, schedule appointments, and handle payments with empathy and professionalism.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of veterinary receptionist experience, are organized, and can communicate clearly while supporting families during visits. This on-site role offers comprehensive staff benefits and opportunities for growth.

We understand that pet health concerns can arise unexpectedly, which is why we are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including major holidays, to help ensure pets receive the care and attention they deserve whenever they need it.

Our team is committed to making every visit as smooth and reassuring as possible, from assessing and triaging each patient to conducting thorough examinations and discussing treatment options with pet owners. Serving Wesley Chapel and surrounding communities, including Zephyrhills, Lutz, Land O’ Lakes, Dade City, Odessa, and the greater Tampa area, we provide pet ultrasound services for cats, dogs, rabbits, and pocket pets.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Maintain the visual appeal or the hospital reception area, greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications

• Experienced Receptionist with a minimum of 1-year veterinary experience required
