The role emphasizes teamwork, cross-training, and building strong client relationships across all hospital functions. The position offers a full-time or part-time schedule with weekday and rotating Saturday shifts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of veterinary assistant experience.
• Proficiency in client education and communication.
• Proficiency in conducting patient intake, medical histories, and vital signs.
• Safe & effective patient handling & restraint.
• Venipuncture and SQ injections.
• Radiology positioning and safety protocols.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Build strong, lasting client relationships through compassionate communication and patient education.
• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
• Assist in surgery including prep, setup, and recovery.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
• Identify patient concerns and support efficient case management across the hospital.
• Foster education and attentive service to clients and patients.
