Qualifications

What You'll Do

As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the health and happiness of our patients while supporting our veterinarians and veterinary technicians. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting veterinarians during examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
  • Preparing and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment using aseptic techniques.
  • Safely and effectively restraining animals during examinations or procedures.
  • Monitoring the health and behavior of animals in our care, reporting any changes to the veterinary team.
  • Administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Providing basic grooming services such as nail trimming and ear cleaning.
  • Maintaining accurate medical records using veterinary terminology.
  • Educating pet owners on animal care, husbandry practices, and post-operative instructions.
  • Performing routine cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and clean facility.

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a veterinary assistant or in a professional animal care setting.
