Job summary

Animal Kingdom Veterinary Hospital in Cary, NC is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join a friendly, collaborative team. This part-time role offers 24 hours per week with some weekends and holiday shifts, and pay is $16.00–$19.00/hour based on experience.

You will support veterinarians during appointments, monitor anesthesia, answer phones, and help with daily hospital operations. We value a positive attitude, strong communication, and the ability to work independently while

Qualifications

• Strong communication abilities and positive attitude.
• At least 1 year of veterinary experience preferred.
• Comfortable answering phones and interacting with clients.
• Confident, dependable and detail-oriented.
• Anesthesia and surgery monitoring experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and support veterinarians during appointments and treatments.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures.
• Answer phones and assist clients with scheduling and questions.
• Check patients in and out.
• Provide compassionate client communication and education.
• Support daily hospital operations and team needs.
• Assist with kennel care during holiday shifts.

Who You Are
