Job summary

Purcell Tire and Service Centers in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Outside Commercial Tire Tech to deliver safe, quality, on-time tire service for commercial customers. You will perform replacements, balancing, mounting, and service calls while maintaining the service vehicle and tools.

This role requires 6 months tire experience, a valid driver’s license, and a clean MVR. Compensation includes hourly pay, daytime service commission, and night/weekend service commission, with benefits and retirement

Qualifications

• Pass background & drug screen.
• 6 months commercial tire experience required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 3-year clean MVR with no DUIs.

Responsibilities

• Commit to continual improvement, training & professional growth.
• Perform commercial tire and wheel replacements and installations.
• Dismount wheels using lug wrenches and other hand and power tools.
• Repair, balance, rotate, mount, and replacement of commercial tires/wheels.
• Service calls as scheduled by service manager.
• Keep service vehicle fully stocked.
• Preventative maintenance of the service vehicle – daily inspection, oil changes, etc.
• Perform basic facility maintenance, shop clean up, and organization.
• Other essential and non-essential duties as assigned by management.

Outside Service Technicians are compensated through a combination of hourly pay, daytime service commission, and night/weekend service commission. The listed range represents an estimated total of all compensation sources, listed as an hourly rate. Variables include relevant experience, certifications, geographic location, and willingness to participate in after-hours/on-call programs.

DRUG TESTING

Purcell Tire tests for the presence of THC in all drug screenings for this position, due to the safety-sensitive nature of the job and the potential for injury or death when a tire is installed improperly, or a safety-related mechanical issue is not properly conveyed to a customer. It is a bona fide occupational qualification for service technicians to be unimpaired, so the Company will continue testing for THC and other drugs under the safety-sensitive exceptions allowed by your state.
