Job summary

Purcell Tire and Service Centers is seeking an Outside Commercial Tire Tech in the Phoenix, AZ area. You will perform commercial tire and wheel replacements, dismount wheels, balance, rotate, and service tires to meet safety and quality standards.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a minimum of 6 months’ commercial tire experience, and the ability to pass a background and drug screen. Join a team focused on safety, quality work, and on-time delivery with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Background check and drug screen required.
• Minimum 6 months of commercial tire experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a 3-year clean MVR with no DUIs.

Responsibilities

• Commit to continual improvement, training and professional growth.
• Perform commercial tire and wheel replacements and installations.
• Dismount wheels using lug wrenches and other hand and power tools.
• Repair, balance, rotate, mount, and replacement of commercial tires/wheels.
• Service calls as scheduled by service manager.
• Keep service vehicle fully stocked.
• Preventative maintenance of the service vehicle – daily inspection, oil changes, etc.
• Perform basic facility maintenance, shop clean up, and organization.
• Other essential and non-essential duties as assigned by management

Outside Service Technicians are compensated through a combination of hourly pay, daytime service commission, and night/weekend service commission. The listed range represents an estimated total of all compensation sources, listed as an hourly rate. Variables include relevant experience, certifications, geographic location, and willingness to participate in after-hours/on-call programs.

DRUG TESTING

Purcell Tire tests for the presence of THC in all drug screenings for this position, due to the safety-sensitive nature of the job and the potential for injury or death when a tire is installed improperly, or a safety-related mechanical issue is not properly conveyed to a customer. It is a bona fide occupational qualification for service technicians to be unimpaired, so the Company will continue testing for THC and other drugs under the safety-sensitive exceptions allowed by your state.
